Warm tone, smooth finish – This 16 string Lyre Harp with Reindeer is well crafted with a silky smooth matte finish in a warm brown color. It is lightweight and easy to hold and position. The tone of the instrument is vibrant and warm. The harp has great resonance and sustain. Included is a booklet with instructions and tools for tuning the instrument, as well as an additional set of strings. There are also several songs included in the booklet and an intro to how to read the notation. Although I am familiar with sight reading traditional music for voice and piano, I am new to the lyre harp, so reading a different style of notation will be a learning curve for me. The case is semi structured and very sturdy. I am very happy with this purchase.

Adding a Lyre to my instruments! – I’ve been a musician for the majority of my life and play several instruments, but I’ve never even held a lyre harp! I’m ecstatic to learn a new instrument and I’m so happy to have found this beautiful harp at a great price point. The craftsmanship is beautiful and it arrived in a nice hard-shelled protective case. I love the mahogany wood and the reindeer design is beautiful. It also came with a cleaning cloth, spare strings, a tuning wrench and more. The lyre harp is easy to hold and lightweight. The strings are easy to stroke and the tone is beautiful! This lyre harp is good quality and I’m excited to learn this new beautiful instrument!

Tune it up slowly! – Pretty sound and real wood, but tune it up slowly! I brought it in out of the cold and was so eager to tune it up (it was SO out of tune!) that I snapped the top string – it was two octaves off out of the box.

Better than expected – I grabbed this for my daughter who loves trying out new instruments and thought this would be perfect for a beginner. While it is easy to hold for smaller hands and has everything that a beginner would need, I was pleasantly surprised at how professional it looks in person. The wood is beautiful and the quality of the strings is really nice. It doesn’t come tuned, so don’t be alarmed when the first stroke sounds hideous — they did include a tuner tool and you can download a digital app to get the strings where they need to be. After that, the sound is very pleasant.

Beautiful and melodic – This instrument is beautiful and has a very resonant sound, similar to a dulcimer, and it comes with with a sturdy case. Tuning wasn’t difficult, and with any stringed instrument, the strings will stretch initially, so it took a while revisiting each note to get it in tune. One string broke during the process, but luckily there was a second set of strings included!

I think the seven strings will also make that easier.
