Meh – I was required to have a cover for my clarinet bell during covid. Seemed ridiculous, but ok. This fit the bell perfectly. It’s somewhat thick and obviously made the airflow more resistant, making extended playing very exhausting. Also, as an aside, moisture (a.k.a. spit) collects in the bell once the cover is saturated and can be perilous for your wood instrument if used for long periods of time. Stop and swab often! I would have suggested having 2, to put a dry one in if you’re playing for a long time, but my hope is that I’ll never have to use one again.

Sound production – This clarinet bell cover fits well. But, more importantly, the sound production is not muffled to the degree that other covers have – at least in my experience.

Actually decent. – I play the oboe in a community band. I was very concerned when my conductor required bell covers because I didn’t want them to affect the sound or make it harder to play. (actually considered skipping a Season ):) I ordered these on Amazon and hoped for the best. It hasn’t affected my sound nor made it difficult to breathe through them. I recommend them!
