Show your eccentricity – As far as musical instruments go, this one is one of the more distinctive ones. It makes a good conversation piece as not many people have seen or heard one up close before, (provided one can play skilfully). With a little practice, this can make beautiful music, although it can be difficult to tune it properly. It looked exactly like the picture, and is light and sturdy. You could probably take it with you if you had some kind of soft case to protect it. If you want to play it professionally though, there are probably much better ones available. As a hobby, this type of pan-flute is perfect.

More of a decoration than instrument – This looks nice and has a good tune until you hit last 3 notes. It wasn’t made very well and customer service blamed Amazon. We needed it or I would have returned it but the 3 hour drive to send it back wasn’t appealing . Lesson learned read all reviews when you need it for use not just decorating. Oh yeah the decorative one sounded much better for less money. Unfortunately it was to small for our need.

Not a pan pipe – This whistle is not a pan pipe, but it is still fun to play and is probably a good start for a novice. There a couple of tones that didn’t work properly, but may need to be cleaned. Overall, fun for kids.

Either an instrument or a wall piece – I was hoping to make some music with this but I had an idea of what I was getting when I read through reviews with low ratings. I had anticipated either a musical instrument or a wall decoration so since I can’t get it to produce any nice tunes, it’s going on the wall. I’ve watched several videos of pan flute solos and the music coming from this type of instrument is beautiful. But from what I can see, most of the quality flutes that the pros are using cost upwards of $300 or more.

As far as it being tuned in properly for each … – As far as it being tuned in properly for each note I give it a one. As far as a decorative instrument for my wall I would definitely give it a high rating. Precision was definitely not the goal of the person who put the flute together.
