Easy to apply, works well – We inherited a b flat cornet, after doing a deep soak to properly clean, this worked very well to lubricate what was needed and has held up with use.

5/5 – I have used a lot of valve oil and slide grease for my trumpets. I keep coming back to the chapstick-like slide greases because they are easy to apply and they are not too thick to the point where you have to add oil to make your slides work. For example, I really like the Monster brand oils and greases, but their slide grease (while long lasting and high quality) is also really thick, so I prefer something like the Libretto on slides that I need to move a lot, i.e. the first and fourth valve slides on my trumpets. I’ll use the long lasting thicker stuff for my tuning slides. This libretto lasts long and is clean and easy to use!

Easy to use. No Mess. – Libretto is a good grease and very easy to use. Much cleaner for the student musician. I don’t use this brand on my trumpet but I buy these for my daughter and they work just fine.

Finally got around to getting my own – Chapstick size and comes in a small bag to prevent any leaking if in a hot case. I like that you only need a little to get slides slick and the clear, colorless application. Very basic slide grease and so far works well on my Yamaha mellophone.
