potentially hazardous to your reputation after a few drinks – Sadly I am not blessed with musical talent, but I still think everyone should own a harmonica including me. Why? The Blues Brothers. Why Else? Piano Man. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Good Specialty Harmonica – This tremolo harmonica is a specialty instrument. Most harmonica players would only use it for rare passages, and that is how I use it. Because the notes are doubled it has a unique tremolo sound, but it is too big to be cupped in the hand to obtain a proper vibrato. The quality is very good. East top makes really nice harmonicas that are as good as the name brand ones at a fraction of the price. Construction is good, blows freely and the reeds are quality.

Sound good no matter what you do – I’m not a harmonica player and debated about even getting one. I don’t listen to the blues and have never really desired to have one. BUT I’m homeschooling my kids and have already gotten them guitars, ukuleles, kalimbas, steel tongue drums, recorders, and much more. The harmonica seemed good to round out our collection of musical instruments to expose them to. I wasn’t sure which type to get them. I knew this is NOT the typical beginner harmonica, but I personally prefer the sound… it’s less bluesy and reminds me a bit of bag pipes. I also liked how this has more notes than the standard harmonica does.
