Practice your drums at home without driving your neighbors crazy – This drum pad set is pretty awesome. It is, essentially, an entire drum kit that is laid out on a flexible rubber pad that rolls up for easy storage. You hit each pad with your drumsticks, and the sound of a real drum comes out of the built-in speaker, or a pair of headphones connected to the drum pad. If you are already a drummer, this is a great way to practice without the neighbors wanting to burn down your house. If you are just thinking about becoming a drummer, this is a cheap way to try it out without having to spend the large amount of cash on a full drum set, not to mention the work of having to transport, find a place to set up a drum set, and then actually setting it all up. This pad takes up about 1.5 square feet of space on a desktop or table. Be warned that hitting the pads does created a thump, and that sound does transfer through the pad into the surface it is sitting on, so practicing late at night using this pad in an upstairs apartment will be heard by your downstairs neighbors, but you can just keep that in mind and not hit the pads as hard to avoid any arguments with them. This is a good drum pad for practicing or trying out the drums. 5 stars.

Fun sound – Small enough to fit on your child’s desk in their room. Very easy to use. Must be plugged in. Wish it came with some sort of lesson packet for kids to actually learn some songs/beats

Fun to play but a little sensitive – I need to preface this by saying I am not a drummer. Thought this would be fun to play with and it definitely is.

Having fun is playing a fun beat on the drums – This is a fun toy drum kit for any kid who wants to play a beat on the drums. It’s got some very good digital drum samples that sound like the real thing. It comes with a pair of wooden drumsticks that when you hit the pads the drum sound is triggered. When I hit the pads in the middle, they respond better than if I miss the middle. A couple of nice features are the built-in stereo speakers and especially the volume controls on the dashboard. They can be a bit loud. But if you want them louder there’s an output to plug into an outside amp & speakers or even a guitar amplifier.

Alright for practice. – I think this would be a great option for a child who is interested in playing drums. It has lots of great features such as multiple styles, record, volume, demos and more. The drum pad is easy to navigate with your average drum setup. The pad is pretty sensitive which is good. The foot pedals are alright but are hard to use consistently. the drum pad has a built in speaker or can be played through headphones. Over all I think it’s a fun drum pad but not for anyone serious about learning drums.

Light weight and portable – Neat toy for kids. Wouldn’t call it professional standards by any means. Some of the buttons glitch and make different sounds unless you really maneuver the top portion to align with the insides. Overall it’s good for ages 15 and under. If you have a kid who is into drums and wants to make beats this will do the trick.

It’s a toy unfortunately; it could be so much more. – As a low cost, decent quality drum toy, this is fine. It has several drum kits, some background songs to jam to, and it might even be useful as a practice tool. There are 2 foot switches for kick drum and closed high hat that most kids won’t understand but if you use it on a desk it works quite well. The pads are pretty quiet and it does work with headphones so that’s a big thing if you give it to a kid to use, because it can get pretty loud and annoying with a novice drummer. You can’t reassign the pads that I can see so good luck if your kid is left handed or wants to play differently. It is set up fairly well as the “standard” pop drum set configuration.
