Perfect for serenading a patient feline. – I received the purple cat shaped kalimba & I’m extremely pleased. The sound is beautiful right out of the box with good instructions & a items to help you get started. It’s got good weight to it without being heavy which is great as my rheumatoid arthritis makes my hands/fingers weaker than my piano playing years. It is clearly translucent but as it’s a deep purple, it doesn’t seem totally see through, it’s gorgeous in the sunlight; all in all I am extremely happy with the purchase. I’ve wanted a kalimba for so long & it makes me smile when I see it.

Easy enough for anyone to play – I bought this for my son who just can’t get the hang of traditional instruments. He’s on the autism spectrum and was very eager, but he wasn’t coordinated enough for the piano or guitar. This is so easy that basically anyone can play with no skill at all. It comes with music and little stickers to help you remember the notes, but even if you are just fooling around it still sounds really nice. It also contains a hammer type tool, finger protectors, and a zippered carrying case for storage.
