      We needed more Cowbell – My wife wanted to play in the band so we needed a cowbell. Now she jams out keeping a beat with this. Just hoping now that she is in the band, she doesn’t run off with a roadie 🙂

      Not bad for the price – I bought this for auxiliary percussion in a band I play in. We simply needed more cowbell. The bell had a lot of ring to it, so I muffled a bit with gaffer tape and it makes a nice sound. Hate the mounting bracket. It has a funny bend that makes it difficult to hang. The hole is very narrow, so mounting on a cymbal stand was impossible, and trying to attach on a standard boom was also difficult position-wise. Ultimately, I wish it came with a short arm for easy mounting, but all-in-all a good bell for the price I paid and I will get my money’s worth out of it.

      Big and Loud – I bought this to add a new instrument to my percussion repertoire. It turns out 8″ is a lot bigger than I realized. (Don’t take that the wrong way folks…) And it’s LOUD. I knew as soon as I opened it and tried hitting it with the included stick that it wouldn’t work for me, and I returned it. But it seemed well made so I have no reason to give it a lower rating. If you need a LOUD cowbell, go for it.
