Totally Worth It – So worth the buy. I’m a musician who decided to get myself a kalimba after seeing so many covers on YouTube and falling in love with the sound. I was worried about ordering one in December since the cold weather might throw the tuning out of whack or damage the wood, but the video here is me ten minutes after opening the package, and the tuning is just fine. I adore the ease of playing and the lovely sound, and can happily plink away at it all day without annoying my family. It’s beautiful, the tines are shiny and well-made, and I can’t wait to bring it on a road trip with me. There’s a little bit of buzz on some tines, but the booklet explains how to handle them and I plan to address it after getting more familiar with the instrument. For the price, you really can’t beat this!

I Love This Thing. – I play guitar and drums, typically playing metal music but that isn’t exactly relaxing. I ordered this as a musical stress toy and I love it. It’s bigger than I expected but because of that it projects almost all the notes really well. It’s a little quiet on the high notes (small bars) but that’s natural because it doesn’t have space to resonate acoustically or physically, it’s nothing against the instrument but wanted to mention it. The wood and design look nice though I don’t know how durable it is because I take care of it and don’t throw it around. It has extras but I put them in a drawer soon after unboxing the item.

Nice instrument – I do like this, but they should let you know that you should have nails to play this more easily. I will now be growing mine out and maybe that is a good thing lol. The two keys on the very ends don’t seem to play a sound. It is just like a sad dink. Everything else is nice about it though. I love the sound of the other keys and love that it sounds like a piano.
