Perfect for knitters too! – I am not a musician but I am an avid knitter and this folder is absolutely ideal for holding my patterns. I can easily slide them in an out of the clear flaps that hold them in place and since the book is ring bound it lays flat or I can flip the pages completely around. The book is also sturdy enough to stand on its own.

Nice Spiral-Bound Sheet Music Book – This book has fairly heavy matte black plastic covers and the wire binding is uniform and good quality. The size of the book (including the spiral binding) is 12 inches by 10.5 inches by 0.75 inches. There are 30 double-sided plastic pages. The plastic pages hold 8.5 inch by 11 inch sheet music. The music pages are held in by three tabs at the top, bottom, and outside of the page. This is nice as it has no plastic glare on the interior of the page where the music is printed – much easier to read than if the entire page was covered by plastic. The book is heavy enough to rest solidly in a music stand and the pages turn easily. The one issue I found was that some of the plastic pages were stuck together around the binding holes. Pull them apart VERY gently or the plastic will tear. I had a couple pages lose a very small section of holes, but this won’t affect the use. On the whole, a very nice sheet music book. I will use it for my Autoharp and choir music.

Not what I expected–better! – I didn’t look at this too closely before I ordered, but I knew I wanted it for my charts/notes as a multi-keyboardist on stage. Up until now I’ve been using plastic sleeves in a three ring binder from the office store. I assumed this would be a similar affair, though hopefully thicker and with less glare. Instead, it’s spiral-bound with fairly thick plastic pages that aren’t pockets at all. Instead, they have about an inch of side-long clear plastic tabs along three sides (the ones not facing the spiral wire). It took a couple of pages before I understood the trick of getting the pages under the tabs, but it’s easy. Holds the pages securely in place with no glare because there’s nothing over all but the margins of the page. We occasionally do outdoor gigs, and I’m pretty sure this will hold up to a decent wind on my Manhasset stand without pages blowing around. Absolutely perfect for my needs.

Just what I’ve always needed – You’re in the middle of song writing with your band. You work on the lyrics, print them out, put them in the sheet protector, place it in the binder, you’re ready to go.

Handy but not my go to – I like this and it’s definitely serving its purpose, but I think I would still pick the standard binder with non-glare sleeves. This is a flexible spiral notebook of pages that instead of being sleeves are just pieces that hold your page in by the edges. I found that with my piano in particular, and a couple others that I’ve tried, that the music stand won’t support your pages (it’s not completely flat and supported) so this sags as opposed to a binder. However, that is a pretty niche issue.

A great way to organize sheet music from your home printer – This actually works very well and, once you get the knack, it’s easy to put standard 8.5×11 printer paper into the clear plastic holders.
