Cheap but good. – Basically what I expected for inexpensive drum, has held up well to a 4-year-old’s abuse, small and lightweight too.

grandmom – i like the size and strapon bongo but the actual skin on top seems very flimsy! im afraid when i let my 2 year old hit this he will break it open. also i ordered the sticks from another site because it didn’t say one came with it, BUT one actually does come with this bongo.

The picture doesn’t match the item…. – Just a heads up that the picture does not match the product and I did not read the previous review so I was a bit surprised when I opened the box. Fortunately for me, I don’t think my 5 year old niece will know the difference and this product will annoy her mother just fine.

Read reviews before buying. – I should have read other reviews before buying. This item is very poorly made. I have to caution my students to be gentle when drumming. The material for the drum head seems to be heavy paper, and I’m afraid one good smack like you would expect from a pre-school child will tear or puncture it. Also, there is a very small but visiable crack in the wood that runs up one side. It is usable, but I would not buy again.
