    Very interesting noise maker. –  While it does not sound exactly like thunder (which I knew before buying and I’m not complaining), it does have quite an impressive and unique thunderous hum to it which is why I bought it. It does sound really cool! The larger thunder tube has a more realistic thunder sound to it which I will get as well later.

    This is an ok instrument – I really got this because I saw it on YouTube being played in the background while watching outdoor drumming. It seemed interesting and I was curious as to the sound it creates. I received it and used it in a drumming circle but I was not impressed. Now it is just occupying space in one of my music bags. You would really have to try it out yourself in a music store to be sure if you like it.

    Non Verbal Autistic aproved !! – My autistic 10 yr old child is always seeking different sounds , coming across this was worth it . He enjoys it alot and it is hard to keep his attention . (Also purchased the tongue drum to go with it . ) I also enjoy playing with this . Wish i would of had one when i was a kid . It is loud thats for sure , some parents would call it an outside toy lol . Its fun . Going to get rain stick next

    Sounds excellent – It sounds amazingly great! Highly recommend!! It is excellent for sound design, theater, and many other fun sonic explorations. I have used it extensively and I will say that USED PROPERLY it will last a long time. The weak spot is the coil’s connection to the membrane: use caution when manipulating the coil/spring, do not pull downward.

    You can make fantastic thunder storm noises with this great sound tool. – As someone who is into all kinds of percussion musical instruments and sounds (Hand Drums, Standard drums, Taiko drums, Maracas, and numerous others) when I saw this item (Remo SP-0207-TL Spring Drum thunder Tube) on Amazon for a bargain price I decided to purchase it.
