      A nice little tambourine! – I like it, very cute, for our grandson. Seems sturdy but since only recently purchased I can’t speak for longevity but seems well made enough.

      Must have toy for kids! – We bought this for our 6 mo old after she loved using it at her daycare. Still a hit 5 mos later. Even though it says 3 yr and up, we find no issue giving to a younger baby under supervision. Really great quality, not some electronic noise that you will go crazy hearing for days on end. Our friends have purchased for their kids after playing with our daughters. Highly recommend!

The tambourine is a beautifully made instrument with a great sound. Definitely *****. But … the package (though not the description) says for kids 3 and older, the reason being, I believe, that the metal jingles are very very sharp. Other reviewers here talk of one year olds enjoying the instrument and I think they are right on target for a single child. But 2 one-year olds? I think not. It would be too easy for one of the boys to injure the other just by playing with it. So if you have one child, go for it. I’m returning the tambourine and my two grandkids will have to wait another year or so to enoy this terrific instrument.

      Cheaply made – I was disappointed in the lack of craftsmanship. The band is a tally stapled to the side of the tambourine with plain old staples. Not painted, just a vinyl sheet stretched around the outside. Very disappointed. Sure it won’t last long. Sound is tinny.
