Great for beginners – This is a great ocarina for beginners. It is plastic so the sound quality isn’t as great as if you were using a ceramic ocarina.

Higher notes are rough but good for beginners – I took away one star only because the higher notes (playing left hand only) sound like I’m trying to play a plastic a recorder during elementary school again. The lower notes sound great so I’m not sure why the higher ones are so harsh; I’ve tried readjusting my grip and how much breath I use to no avail.

One of the best plastic ocarinas – I absolutely adore this ocarina, and have both the soprano and alto C. It is a solid instrument with a low breath pressure requirement to play in tune, meaning it is very easy to get out notes without much effort.

Surprisingly good quality sound – I have other ocarinas, mostly ceramic ones, which are the standard. Comparing “Night” with them, it has more consistent tone, it is more in tune, and it is easier to manipulate and play. I would choose Night over a good quality, 12 hole, ceramic ocarina.
