    Looks Used – My son purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. I just took it out of the box, which looks new, and some of the steel bars are tarnished/starting to rust. The one mallet has a crack in it and there was hair inside the case. I will say, it sounds really good. But it looks used and a little beat up and that’s disappointing since it’s supposed to be brand new.

    Pure like a bell sound – A one year birthday gift. Nice to have the two rows. I hope my small friend enjoys the sounds like I always have.

    It was the missing mallet for me – I purchased this for my 9 year old son. We opened the Amazon box to find the instrument box inside. I had to open both sides and push the instrument out. The instrument was stuffed into the manufacturer’s box. I got the instrument out and inspected the outside, so far so good. I opened it up and found a note card and one mallet, yes one mallet. I picked up the only mallet inside and hit the keys. Some sounded stuck, some sounded too loose. Needless to say I am in the process of returning.
