It IS a metal kazoo, and it works. – First off: some reviews are accusing this kazoo of being plastic instead of metal. The one I received is definitely anodized blue metal, although I can definitely see how it could be mistaken for plastic. It doesn’t feel especially high-quality – I definitely wouldn’t have paid this much for it if it weren’t the cheapest option with one-day shipping available in my area. However, it does the job nicely, and has a classic loud buzz. It even comes with a few extra reeds. All in all, I’m satisfied with the product – a fully-functional kazoo, and a good gift option – but at this price, I wouldn’t consider getting this exact one again if I could help it.

IT DOES WORK GREAT JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE THE SCREW ISN’T TOO TIGHT – Ok soo I thought I was going to have a very disappointed child because when we initially tried it, it was not working. We even tried Youtube videos that were demonstrating how to hum into it and not blow….then I realized maybe the top that holds the diaphragm was too tight and so we loosened it. Voilà that did the trick. The disc needs to vibrate between the two parts so don’t screw it on to tight. Now she is in the other room kazooing the old tune “Mr.Sandman bring me a dream ” Sooo happy that I had to write a review. The box was nice and the storage bag is cute. Great product! Thank you! Hope this helps someone else from being mistakenly disappointed.

Yep. It’s a Kazoo – I went looking for a “bulletproof” musical instrument to give as a Christmas gift, something anyone could play, right out of the box. Of course I immediately thought of a Kazoo, because I’m an idiot, but that’s another story.

It’s not metal and sound is squeaky – I liked it, I bought two types of Kazoos and it took me a long time to fighter out how to use this one but it tools me 2 seconds to figure out the cheep plastic kazoo, but maybe that was just me. It seemed like it was metal but it was plastic sprayed to look like it but it still looked great, very light. The sound is very squeaky and pitchy cause it uses a membrane compared to the other type of kazoo which sounded open and loud, (it can only do high noises and sounds like someone is screeching). So it got annoying. But I did what it was supposed too so I like it.

Pretty Blue Kazoo with a lilting tone! – While not having the best pitch, the kazoo has a light tilt to it and if you are a good hummer, you have got yourself one pretty kazoo! The presentation in it’s own pouch is stunning. I am a player and I will be playing it in a band in New Year’s Eve for the NEW Twenties!
