What a great gift for a 1 year old! – Our grandson just loves instruments and drums, and he absolutely was tickled pink to bang this around. It’s got a beautiful sound, and fun for all ages! I would monitor at this age as the little ball on the end of the stick can make its way into the mouth. But truly a great instrument. It comes well packaged and the s a great gift! Will buy again!

Small but delightful – I bought this for my granddaughter’s first birthday and she really loves it, even though she is too young to play a tune on it. It has a lovely sound so it doesn’t matter how much she plays with it – it really can’t sound discordant. It’s not intuitive to play a tune even if you play another instrument – you have to learn where the notes are – but it’s pretty easy to work out and anyone who is musical would be able to get a tune out of it fast. It’s very small but that means it can be tucked in a bag and taken on trips to provide amusement. A good starter instrument for young children.
