Say Goodbye to Tape! – I hadn’t picked up or played my violin in almost 20 years. So when the pandemic hit and I had nothing better to do, I decided to revisit and relearn this amazing instrument. After nearly 2 decades I have pretty much forgotten everything and needed references for finger positions. This product popped up and I decided to give it a try.

Useless while playing – It’s great if you want to look down on your fingerboard while not playing. The colors are washed out so seeing first position markers is difficult. The side information is useless to a player. It’s like using the neck as a notebook. I am going back to good old white pin striping. Less eye strain.

Would buy again – I should have had higher expectations. I was surprised how easy it was to install and fix. As I was putting it on, I realized that the top had wrinkled. I’m not used to being able to reposition stickers without damaging the stickers, but it was super easy to pull off and redo. It is a good thickness of vinyl. It doesn’t feel like it would tear, but it also doesn’t interfere with my playing.
