Easy Instrument For Beginners To Practice With! – While I’m still not sure what this specific harp is tuned in, I know that as my first harp it has been useful in learning multiple different ways to play music. While simple and not as minutely responsive as some other models, it’s cheap and well made!

Smells strongly of mildew??? – Looks fine, plays well, but why does it smell so strong of mildew?

Interesting Little Instrument – Being an experienced non-professional musician, I had to give this a try. I don’t know much about them, but it seems to be very well made. Comes with a crafted cedar case and the harp secures to the case with a leather pull string. Great for passing idle time such as during commercial breaks while watching TV. You’re probably not going to spend long sessions with it, but it is entertaining. I do recommend watching an online video or two. It’s unlikely to break and carries anywhere.

I expected a closed case – It’s an open top case and I’m worried about damage if not very careful with it, will update later

Good quality – I’ll start by saying I have zero prior experience playing a Jew’s harp. But I heard two being played in a Ted Talk video and thought I’d give this a go. It’s fairly easy to play for a beginner. There isn’t a huge variety of sounds this can make, although there’s certainly a knack to playing it, and I’m still learning. But it’s not as sophisticated as, say, a harmonica, which is capable of much wider range of “music.” This is sort of a “musical sound effect,” a little like a tambourine in that sense, although this isn’t quite the one-trick pony that a tambourine is. The quality of this particular instrument seems to be good, although I have nothing to compare it with. This could make a good gift for someone who is musically inclined and would enjoy an interesting instrument that is easy to play.
