kids are self teaching and putting on an xmas concert – 10 year old and 9 year old are self taught recorder players. This book was easy to learn. i really only needed to teach them the difference between a flat and a natural B. and then i had to teach the dotted half note.

A great progressiinpin of holiday music in order of difficulty – i am 81 years old having to abandon a flute and cello so am learning the flute recorder. i tried scripting christmas music from hymnals and piano bookS, also different flute/recorder lesson books with limited success. Finally found Chrstmas favorites sheet music with instruction. It presents numerous Christmas songs progressing from easy to more complicated introducing the additional fingering detail, tonality and instrument handling.
