Cheaply made and obnoxious – My mother had me order this for her drum circle her and her friends have at their fire pit in the evenings. I should have read the description and reviews first, but I assumed she had done so. It’s full of little metal beads so the sound is very obnoxious and rather unpleasant. That was probably in the description, so that’s on us. Regardless, it’s extremely cheaply made and won’t last long. It also didn’t come with a mallet. Luckily I had an extra one from my sons drum collection.

Excellent construction and high quality sound – The construction of this ocean drum is superior to others sold on Amazon. I compared the sound of this drum to others and this is the best. It’s constructed of goat skin which is very thin, compared to elk or Buffalo skins. I’m impressed with the craftsmanship and high quality sound of this drum. Great price too! Highly recommended. Awesome for the price – I love this ocean drum. I bought one as a gift last year and finally got another for myself. I read the reviews and let me say, this is used to make sounds like ocean waves. Yes, you can drum on it but thats not the purpose and won’t sound that great. If u want that, buy a regular drum. But if you want something to relax to this is great. Also it is made of goat skin and wood so sounds better than those clear plastic ocean drums.

nice interesting product – It wasn’t what I was looking for although I hoped I could use it. It is as described and came in two days with prime. Its interesting and does sound like ocean waves if you allow the pebbles inside to slide across the surface, otherwise, its sounds like there’s rocks in that drum. I needed an inexpensive drum and the rocks got in the way of my needs, but I did enjoy playing with it for a few minutes before I put it back in the package. Great for kids/young people for something to enjoy that isn’t iPhone/computer. Mostly, a nice sound, fun and interesting.
