Really neat little instrument. – It came in the very neatly carved case which I like a lot. I have played with one before but couldn’t remember how to do it. I was holding it between my lips only and getting very quiet and disappointing sound. I was worried I had a dud. One YouTube video later I was getting really awesome and loud reverberation. You have to gently press it against the front of your teeth while maintaining a small gap.

The “string” cam a bit crooked – The “string” cam a bit crooked, so very hard to play as it touches the “border”. Just bad luck with this one, otherwise it would be perfect.

Beautifully made. – I love the little case that this harp comes in. The craftsmanship is wonderful and the harp sets nicely inside of it. I admit I had a really hard time getting the harp out of it the first day. The way it was tied in, made it nearly impossible to untie it and I almost had to use scissors!! I must admit that I suffer from arthritis in my hands so I’m sure that added to my struggle but I feel that anyone would have a hard time. Either way, though…the reason I gave low stars for the beginner status is because you only get the actual harp when you order this. There are no instructions at all and since I am a true beginner, I still have not been able to play any type of song on it. I know I’m being silly going online and looking for beginner instructors but I was really hoping it would be something I’d be able to figure out quickly. It’s been difficult for me to figure out how to hold it in my mouth to get the proper sound. So, I feel like if you already know how to play one of these , it would make a beautiful addition to your collection. And I know once

Cool case but does not protect the Harp very well – This is an OK Jaw Harp, there are better ones out there with less fancy looking cases.

It is advertised as being for beginners, but it would be nice if it came with an instruction booklet with tips and techniques for said beginners. Otherwise, only established players will know how to make it work.
