Beautiful object with a beautiful sound – If you need a small gift for a musician, this is a quality instrument that is also a decorative peace. Delicate sound and easy to play. Good early learning instrument for a child. Comes with everything needed.

Very Nice But A Bit Heavy – This is my second kalimba which I love to play, this is very nice however it’s a bit heavier then I thought and just holding and playing it for 5 minutes it was starting to hurt my hands when holding it, not good for someone with arthritis. So unfortunately I will be sending it back, and just use my other one which is much lighter and easier to hold without hurting my hand.

Surprisingly easy to get out of tune. – I didn’t think this would go out of tune, but it actually doesn’t take much use to find it so. Unfortunately, it was very difficult for me to tune it. The adjustments necessary are minute, and I’m more clumsy than that.

Best handheld instrument I’ve ever played – I love the color it’s a light Champagne color with butterflies on the front and Musicnotes I absolutely love that design it’s not too much it’s not too little the keys are very well-made they are aligned perfectly and I found it easy to find the right notes for a song you want to play very easy to learn a song right out of the box you don’t have to tune it each key has the number/ note letter and the pitch (dot) right on the key. love how the notes are spread out and gives it a nice tune I like the stickers with the letters and pitch (dot) on them not sure what the little red and green strips are for but I’m sure they are used to indicate each key I’m glad that it comes with a tuning hammer it’s nice and small and can fit in the Carrie case that comes with the piano it comes with a cleaning cloth that’s really good to get rid of fingerprints and I like the little silicone thumb covers it’s a neat cute little instrumental project that you can carry with you anywhere now all I need is a hand pan (hand-drum) can you say The most soothing music ever I’ll have to look and see if I can find One of the more original hand pans and do another review with the thumb piano and the hand pan this is definitely a gift that you get someone who likes soft gentle music and wants to learn how to play I would even suggest getting one or two more and several people playing just to hear how beautiful that was sound. The quality of the metal and the wood that makes up this small musical wonder is magnificent I would not have thought that I would like this so much I haven’t put it down since I got it. I don’t think it’s possible to play anything that doesn’t sound right on this instrument The book also comes with instructions on how to play different melodies in tunes. Like I said again I’m definitely going to look for a hand pan to play along with this thumb piano I can only imagine how beautiful those two will sound together.
