Incredible value for the money! – I cannot believe how good these mouthpieces are for the money I paid. The mute is OK… made of VERY thin metal. But, it works… and sounds acceptable. But the mouthpieces are indestinguishable from the one that came with the horn. Very heavy. High quality. Flawless manufacturing. I took a chance when buying, because the price was so low that I wouldn’t be out a lot of money if the quality turned out to be poor. But, it didn’t. This is a steal and you won’t be disappointed.

Pleasantly astonished… – I was pleasantly surprised at the sound that this lil mute makes in my Eastar pocket trumpet… I was playing with a Harmon mute, and love the sound, but when I tried this lil guy, I was impressed at how easy it was to play, the intonation didn’t suffer, it’s quiet enough, but I can still hear a lot of the natural sound of the horn coming through, and it’s just so darn cute in the bell of the pocket trumpet… the mouthpieces are exactly what they say they are… I am glad I bought them, because I found that I really prefer the 3C, at least in the pocket trumpet… so far, the the 5C is currently in my full sized Eastar trumpet… btw, both of my Eastar trumpets are way better than I expected them to be… Now, I await the arrival of my S CHOPRA fluglehorn… I already have the Bobby Shew mouthpiece for that…

Gamble for products – On first arrival, two of the three mouthpieces look new and are labeled correctly. However, the third mouthpiece was labeled 5C when it should be a 3C (I measured it to make sure which one was correct), and had strange spots all over it. The mute already has a dent in it, and the cork attachments look like they’re badly put on and are going to fall off at any moment. Haven’t tested it yet, will update once my trumpet comes in. Overall, for the money paid, it’s quite a gamble for the quality that you’ll get.
